Ever since hearing about Heroes, Thomas Dekker thought it would be a success. However, he knew his character would only play a minor role; he knew he wouldn’t get the spotlight. Thomas Dekker only played a minor role on Heroes as a friend of Claires - he was only meant to be in one episode. However, because of the fan response he’s returned - and may appear yet again in upcoming episodes in future seasons. However, don’t expect to see him in Heroes anytime soon, considering he’s been shooting for The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Heroes has prepared him for the staring role as John Connor in The Sarah Connor Chronicles. “The character was just left in limbo,” he says. “Maybe there will be some big twist, where he shows up again. You never know.”

Was it Heroes that got the creators of The Sarah Connor Chronicles interested in casting Thomas Dekker?

Dekker admits that he originally thought that the producers were only doing this for the money. He said, “Oh, no. They’re only doing this to cash-in on the money, and it’s going to be terrible, and they’re not going to care about the films or be respectful. It’s going to be bad.” However, he says, a meeting with the producers and writers changed his mind. “I thought those things until I met with the writers and producers and creators of the show. The plans for the show are so intelligent, and it’s so beautiful what they want to do with the story. Where they’re taking it is just beyond my imagination.”

Propaganda, or truth? Does young Dekker have a limited imagination, or is it just possible that The Sarah Connor Chronicles will be so complex that it will level with the intensity and complexity of ABC’s hit TV show, Lost? We can only hope so.

As most of the avid fans of the upcoming TV series already know, the Pilot Episode of The Sarah Connor Chronicles was leaked onto torrent and warez sites a few weeks ago. This isn’t unheard of in the television and movie industry; last year the Pilots Heroes and Jericho were leaked - this year it’s The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Pushing Daisies, Bionic Woman, Weeds, and a few others.

The real question about TV shows such as The Sarah Connor Chronicles being downloaded before it’s release is how it got leaked. Did the Companies (Fox, in this case) leak them intentionally? Is this a marketing scheme?
