As most of you likely already know, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles has gotten the “green light” from Fox for a second season. Fox announced this on March 20th, so I apologize for being so late to most this important news. As of now (to my knowledge) we don’t know much about Season 2, other than that it’s planned to continue with what Season 1 would have been had there not been a writer’s strike. We also know that Fox has ordered 13 new episodes of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles for season 2, though it is possible that it could be expanded if the second season does well in the ratings.

I’m sure you’ve all been wondering, as have I; will Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles be renewed or canceled? Well, we simply don’t know yet. There is yet to be an official word on the issue from Fox. However, things are looking good for Sarah Connor Chronicles Fans. There have been multiple rumors that the show will be returning, and though we haven’t heard anything solid just yet, I believe it is highly likely the show will return. It’s had solid ratings throughout the season and will most likely be picked up for Season 2. If the show is renewed, the producers intend to continue the 1st seasons storyline into the second season as it would have happened had it not been for the writing strike.
If anyone has any information on the status (renewal/cancellation) of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, feel free to comment.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, premiered last Sunday with over 18 million viewers. Fox came out with Terminator:The Sarah Connor Chronicles in #1 for it’s timeslot and #2 for the evening. There are a few things that I think have contributed to it’s initial success. Firstly, there is the current writer’s strike; because of the strike, there have been few non-reality TV shows to hit the air; this has played out well with fox to help boost potential viewership. Secondly, the premiere took place on a Sunday, which is a little unusual. I think both of these things played a roll in bringing Teriminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles to the top.
Last monday, after Sunday’s premiere, the second episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles aired. While this episode, Gnothi Seauton, didn’t do as well as the Pilot, it still came in #2 for the timeslot and #4 for the night with over 10 million viewers.
While the critical reception of this show has been a bit muddled with mixed reviews, TV watchers are proving the show built around the Terminator franchise is what they want to see.
The next Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles episode is called “The Turk” and will air on Monday at 8/9 Central.

Well, the day we’ve all been waiting for has come. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles will air tonight. For my time zone it airs in about 45 minutes, and I can’t wait. I won’t go into a long episode summary right now - we can do that after we see the episode. I encourage everyone to watch the Pilot tonight and give the show a chance; if you already have seen it, watch it again to show your support.
It airs at 8:00 PM eastern time and 7:00 central time on Fox. I believe the second half will air tomorrow night at the same time.
Be sure to discuss the show on our forum.

Fox recently changed the name of the upcoming TV show from just “The Sarah Connor Chronicles” to “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.” We speculate that the primary reason for this name alteration is simply to associate the show more with the blockbuster movie trilogy in hopes to lure in more fans. Additionally, they’ve chosen to split up the pilot into two parts instead of one two-hour premiere. It will now premiere on Sunday, January 13th at 8 P.M., with the second half airing the following Monday, the 14th of January, at 9 P.M. This means the show will potentially be competing against Heroes if the writer’s strike is resolved soon.

A bit of history about this show:
The Sarah Connor Chronicles was originally announced in the fall of 2005 that it was going to be developed. It was told that it revolved around Sarah Connor and her son, a teenager, John. According to James Middleton, the Sarah Connor Chronicles will follow what happens to Sarah Connor prior to Terminator 3. She bears the burden of raising a son who is destined to be the savior of humanity.
As of now their is virtually non of the original cast orr writers from the original movies involved in the Sarah Connor Chronicles TV show. However, among those form the Terminator Trilogy that are involved are Joel Kramer, Mario Kassar and Andy Vajna, a well as David Nutter.
