The Pilot Episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles jumps right into the action and the plotline of the Terminator franchise right after T2. The Pilot episode starts off with Sarah and John Connor alone in the world with only each other. The pair are fugitives and are constantly running from an unknown threat. The story begins in August 24th, 1999. The Pilot starts out with Sarah having a dream about the Terminator. She was recently engaged to her new fiancee, Charley Dixon; almost immediately once she has the chance she tells John they must leave, and the pair set off to find a new identity. Her financee reports her missing to the FBI. James ellison, an FBI agent, is on Sarah Connor’s case and explains to Dixon who Sarah is and how she allegedly murdered Miles Dyson and blue up the facility.
Sarah and John Connor move to a small town in New Mexico. John begins attended school and meets a girl named Cameron. A new Terminator (of an unknown model number) is on the hunt to find and kill John Connor; the Terminator masquerades as a substitute teacher to find out who John Connor is and attempt an assassination. Cameron, the female Terminator from the year 2027, defends John and helps him escape by running over the other Terminator with a truck, temporarily disabling him. Through Cameron, John learns that Skynet launches on April 19th, 2011 and that hte nuclear apocalypse was only changed, not avoided entirely.
Back on the run, Sarah, Cameron, and John go to a bank, lead by Cameron. They lock themselves in the safety-deposit box room and assemble and isotonic weapon to destroy Cromarite. They then use a time travel machine that is built into the back to travel to September 2007 in an attempt to find and destroy Skynet. They appear, naked, in the middle of a highway. Almost immediately there picture is taken.
