In Episode 3 of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, it starts out with Sarah dreaming about The Manhattan Project; the development of the atomic bomb. Sarah kills the creators, yet they come back to life as Terminators, about to killer her - she then wakes up.

John and Cameron attend their first day of school; they face trouble right away because of the metal detectors. Because Cameron is a Terminator, and thus made of metal, the detectors are set off multiple times. John explains that she is his sister and has a metal plate in her head. Cameron’s honesty and, perhaps, her naivety creates tension in the girls bathroom. A girl becomes upset by something seen on a door/wall, and goes to the top of the building. John wants to save her, but Cameron prevents him because it would have attracted attention to John.

In the meantime, Sarah meets again with Dyson’s wife, shows her a set of photographs, and convinces her to give her a name of a person involved; she does, telling Sarah that Andy Goode, the man in a photograph, was an intern at Cyberdyne. Sarah then proceeds to find Andy Goode; he’s working at a cell phone store. Andy explains cell phones to Sarah, then asks her on a date. She said no at first, then agreed. On the date later that day, Andy shows Sarah The Turk, but they are seen from outside. The next night Sarah sets Andy’s house on fire in an attempt to destroy the computer without having to kill Andy.

Ellison, the FBI agent, is at the scene of a murder and is questioned by another officer why he’s taken an interest in the case. He begins to question Carlos’ boys. On the crime seen, Ellison finds out that one of the dead men has the fingerprints of a four-year-old dead boy from Ohio. At the end of the episode, the FBI find the dead biologist, without his eyes.

Cromartie steals a large amount of blood from a hospital, then captures a biologist in his home. He then convinces the biologist to help him regrow him the skin by showing him the advanced formula that was formerly thought impossible. They develop the formula, set it up in the bath tub, and Cromartie prepares to regrow his skin. The biologist is shocked when he sees Cromartie’s metal skeleton. Cromartie, near the end, rises from the tub with his new skin, though it is rough and mangled. The biologist cuts the skin on Cromartie’s eyes, causing the Terminators red eyes to appear.

In this episode, Sarah is also told that she does not have cancer, nor has any risks. The episode ends with Sarah’s voice, saying, “Now we are all sons of bitches.”
